ADAMED SmartUP at the New Education Forum

3 December 2015

A talent often needs a mentor in order to grow. Frequently, a teacher who can inspire their students to develop their knowledge and search for new solutions in science. ADAMED SmartUP was present at the New Education Forum – focused on motivating students regarding their future professional career – held at the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw on 30th November and 1st December this year.

The topics discussed at the event included the new model of cooperation between employers, teachers and school principals – who are supposed to play the role of mentors for the young people approaching the threshold of their adult life. Aside from participation in lectures and debates, over 200 teachers could get acquainted with multimedia class materials prepared by the ADAMED SmartUP programme, whose use during lessons was encouraged Dr Takao Ishikawa. The scientist also introduced the participants to the ADAMED SmartUP scholarship programme – assisting young talents in advancing their passion and starting a career in science already at the early stages of their education – and encouraged teachers to stimulate their students to take part in the currently ongoing 2nd edition of the programme.
