There are students in Poland who actually can’t wait for two weeks of additional schooling during their summer holidays. Those are the 50 teenagers from secondary schools across Poland who have qualified for the innovative science camp as part of the 3^rd edition of the ADAMED SmartUp programme.  They will develop their passion for science under the supervision of the best academic teachers in Poland.

Multi-stage preliminaries for the 3^rd edition of ADAMED SmartUp enabled the Programme’s Scientific Council to select the most talented lovers of physical and natural sciences from over six thousand teenagers who had enrolled. Successful entrants will go to a unique science camp organised at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in July.

The students will be divided into four thematic groups according to their interests: chemistry and biochemistry, medicine and medical sciences, engineering and robotics, as well as physics and new technologies. The teenagers will explore these fields of science under the tutelage of teachers from the best Polish and foreign universities. The programme combines lectures, scientific excursions and dozens of experiments conducted in state-of-the-art laboratories. For some of the young participants, this will be the first time they will have come into contact with such professional scientific equipment. Also, many of them have never been surrounded by so many peers who share their passion for science — this will certainly provide them with inspiration to develop their interests.

The ADAMED SmartUp science camp will take place from 16 to 29 July 2017. The project has been financed with the support of the European Union.
