On 16 January, recruitment was closed for the 4^th edition of the ADAMED SmartUP programme. More than 9 thousand people joined the online game! Those who stepped into the shoes of a science journalist and took on the challenge of solving a riddle by Mystery Solutions will now stand a chance of winning unique prizes and joining the best young scientists.

This year’s alternate reality game took place from 17th October 2017 until 16th January 2018. The participants were primarily required to demonstrate a creative approach to solving mysteries, the ability to connect facts and to think out of the box. The plot of the game consisted of becoming a journalist who works for a technology magazine, and solving a mystery case.

Those who did the best job tackling the challenge will be notified on 23 January 2018. They will be asked to send in their applications and covering letters. Subsequently, the Programme’s Scientific Council will select 100 people who will be invited to preliminary interviews. The meetings will make it possible to select 50 participants of the innovative science camp. In July they will spend two weeks at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, taking part in intensive practical and theoretical classes or excursions to prestigious scientific institutions. The participants will also have an opportunity to get to know like-minded peers and inspiring eminent representatives of the world of science. The 10 most talented participants — winners of the main prize — will be rewarded with 10 months of educational counselling. The most outstanding winners will be offered scholarships.

The online games in the previous three editions and the current fourth edition of the programme have jointly attracted nearly 25 thousand talented teenagers. Information on the stages to follow will be published regularly at www.adamedsmartup.pl.
