On Sunday, 6^th June, the final results of the 2^nd ADAMED SmartUP program in Vietnam were announced. Three students: Dong Khai Hoan, Tran Hoai Nhat and Duong Yen Nhi were awarded for months of their educational effort.

The second Vietnamese edition of our program was launched in October last year. Over 400 students from the of Polish-Vietnamese Friendship Secondary School in Hanoi took part in the recruitment process. Among them 100 students were invited to participate in ADAMED SmartUP classes. For several months, they were improving their English skills under the tutelage of native speakers and broadening their knowledge in the field of science during workshops.

I was waiting impatiently for each workshop. The classes were very practical, we have learned a lot about challenges associated with natural environment and how one can face them, said Bui Minh Phuong, a participant of the program.

Speaking of the participation in the program, students appreciated the opportunity to cooperate with English-speaking experts as well as a chance to learn about many issues concerning various scientific areas. As they declare, the way of conducting the classes was also attractive, encouraging active participation and creative thinking.

The course gave me a chance to develop my language skills and allowed me to discuss environmental issues with foreign experts. At the same time, the time spent with teachers and friends was really very pleasant – says Nguyen Phuong Anh, an ADAMED SmartUP graduate in Vietnam. On 6^th June, three students – based on the assessment of their commitment, test results and their own final presentation on environmental protection – were honored with prizes. As laureates of the program, they received, among others high-class laptops and wireless headphones, and above all, the opportunity to join ADAMED SmartUP summer camp, which is held online this year. This is our last official meeting organized by ADAMED SmartUP program. However, I hope that this is not the end of our friendship. Remember whenever you need help in the field of science, you can still ask me for support, said during the awards gala Piotr Osiński, a scientist conducting ADAMED SmartUP classes in Vietnam. Vietnam is the first country apart from Poland, where students interested in science can develop with the support of Adamed Foundation. ADAMED SmartUP program is organized in cooperation with one of the largest secondary schools in Hanoi – Polish-Vietnamese Friendship Secondary School. It was inaugurated in 2019 and 60 students from this institution qualified for the first edition in Vietnam. In total, 160 teenagers involved in learning have already participated in two editions of the program.
