The year is 2070 and the Earth’s population is being evacuated to Mars. You need to pick 5 items or technologies to restore life on the Red Planet – this is the task for the participants of the next edition of the ADAMED SmartUP scholarship program. The science game will be a test for your analytical thinking skills. The best of you, selected in several consecutive recruitment stages, will be invited to join us for an innovative science camp.

“Like every year, the invitation is addressed to young people aged 14-18 who are passionate about science and want to take on the challenge of the online science game. It will be an engaging experience which will be an inspiration to delve deeper into selected scientific themes. For us, as organizers, it is the first step of the recruitment process, which enables us to assess the participants’ skills beyond the school curriculum. To gain points, participants must demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning skills,” says Martyna Strupczewska, Head of the ADAMED SmartUP Program.

This year, the plot of the game revolves around a simulated evacuation of the human population to Mars. The in-game guide is Artificial Intelligence (IA) which takes players into the future, to the years 2022-2070. AI shows them 5 different points in time, where they can learn more about the various items and technologies of the future and then verify their usefulness during the mission.

“The game is only the beginning of the ADAMED SmartUP journey. The top 50 candidates short-listed in the recruitment process will be invited to an innovative science camp. Then, ten of them will be awarded a 10-month individual support package. The three best participants will receive a scholarship worth PLN 40,000, which they will be able to spend on further scientific development,” adds Martyna Strupczewska.
