Competition for schools: 30 laboratories for Adamed’s 30th anniversary
27 April 2016
School lessons of chemistry, biology or physics without experiments are like a driving course without a car. Clearly, you can learn the basics, but there is no fun in it. The entire fun and educational power of exact science lie within experimenting. For these reasons, on its 30th anniversary, Adamed will equip 30 schools with state-of-the-art laboratories. The results of a competition for students and their teachers will reveal the final destination of the equipment.
Thanks to Adamed Group, every middle school and high school in Poland stands a chance to win state-of-the-art laboratory equipment. It is not about money, but about the creativity and enthusiasm of the students and their teachers, as on 21st April, a competition entitled “30 laboratories for Adamed’s 30th anniversary” was opened. Entire classes or student research associations can enter the competition. The task is to make a 2-3 minute video presenting an educational lesson and to prepare a lesson scenario.
You can choose one of four topics:
- Kitchen and food chemistry.
- What if…? (on the role of microorganisms in the world).
- What is the Universe made of?
- How does a cell transform energy from food?
At the first stage of the competition, the videos will be evaluated by Internet users in online voting. 100 projects with the greatest number of votes will qualify for the second stage, during which a jury, consisting of 5 persons, will select the final 30 videos.
The competition jury will consider the following criteria: ingenuity, novelty, creativity, correctness, quality and legibility of the video and the number of votes in the public voting.
The top 30 videos will be awarded with equipment for a chemistry, biology or physics laboratory. The competition application forms should be submitted until 12 June this year via the website: http://adamed.com.pl/pl/30lecie/konkurs/and the Facebook page of ADAMED SmartUP.
