ADAMED SmartUP Academy class “Synergy – the inner life of cells” took place on 3rd March. The workshops were a unique chance for young enthusiasts of science to learn about the secrets of cells. 

During the classes, pupils got the chance to perform on their own, a series of microscopical observations of eukaryotic samples at different stages of cell division. Moreover, they conducted an experiment, which consisted in examining how stimulants impair the process of cellular respiration in mammal cell lines. They learned about the relationship between healthy cellular membrane physiology and cell viability, which was later proven using a microscopic experiment. The workshops were a chance to widen their knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics and human physiology.

Enter your e-mail address and explain in a few words (max. 50 words) why you are interested in participating in these classes. The workshop is aimed at teenagers aged 15-19.

You can still sign up for the class organised in cooperation with the Centre for Innovative Bioscience Education entitled ” DNA Verdict” in Warsaw on 17.03.2017 and for the following weekend classes:

• “Medicine” in Łódź on 25-26th March and in Olsztyn 29-30th March;
• “Physics” in Białystok on 13-14th May;
• “Chemistry” in Elbląg 20-21st May;
• “Biochemistry” in Rzeszów in June.

The ADAMED SmartUP Academy courses are a chance for young people to conduct complex experiments by themselves, solve scientific puzzles together, and to meet people with similar interests and passions.
