11 October 2021
The Vietnamese version of the ADAMED SmartUP scholarship programme has been organized since 2019. It is open to all students of the Polish-Vietnamese Friendship Secondary School in Hanoi. 457 teenagers applied this year, 150 of whom have been short-listed for the third edition of the programme.
Vietnam is the second country besides Poland where we have been implementing the ADAMED SmartUP science and education programme. Every year, the Vietnamese edition of the programme is received with growing interest by Hanoi school students. 457 people applied to take part in the programme this year.
The first stage of the qualification procedure was a test in exact and life sciences, followed by an English language test. On the basis of the total scores obtained by the students, we have selected 150 participants of the 3rd edition of the ADAMED SmartUP programme in Vietnam.
“The Adamed Foundation is delighted to be able to support the development of talented and ambitious students not only in Poland, but also abroad. The growing interest in the ADAMED SmartUP programme in Vietnam shows how much needed the initiative is,” says Martyna Strupczewska of the Adamed Foundation.
Just as in the two previous editions, English language classes with native speakers will also be essential for the participants. In addition, the students will also take part in exact and life science classes, as well as in environmental protection workshops, facilitated by an expert from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Due to the pandemic situation in Vietnam, for now, all classes will be held online.
The third edition of the ADAMED SmartUP programme in Vietnam will be concluded at the end of the school year, in the spring of 2022. All participants will sit a final evaluation test. The results of the test, coupled with a comprehensive assessment of the students’ work, will be used to select three winners. One of the prizes will consist in an opportunity to participate in a science camp, which will be held in Poland next July.
